Michael A. Hotz, Staff Scientist

Mike brings over 10 years of software development experience to the CenterGate^® team and is a key contributing scientist to the UltraDNS project. He was an Advisory Software Developer with Bridge Information Systems, Inc, a global financial information systems provider where he was primarily responsible for the design and development of numerous client/server environments used for distribution of real-time market data and related research information.

An accomplished scientist in the development of systems level network solutions, his extensive experience includes the development of applications, systems, and network software for hardware and software platforms including Unix, Linux and Windows NT. You may find him coding DOS device drivers in assembler in the morning, Windows GUI applications and system services in the afternoon, and buried deep in Unix development in the evening.

His diverse professional interests include a long association with LifeFormations, Inc., a provider of animated and static life-like characters to the amusement and entertainment industry where he collaborated on the design and implementation of a real-time PC based animatronic control system. LifeFormations technologies are used and acclaimed worldwide. Mike is also the President and CEO of InterSafe, Inc., a small Internet startup with a vision for data storage and security solutions.

A licensed private pilot, Mike also enjoys flying over the pavement on rollerblades and over the airwaves as an Amateur Radio operator.
